Personality: Tamao is a shy and timid girl who has a huge crush on Yoh ever since little. She is very weak, and always gets bullied by her spirits. She's also sweet and innocent. She doesn't fight much and often watches on the side. She is seen mostly with Anna and Manta.

Ren and Tamao, sadly, have no contact in Shaman King. (or at least, that's what I heard...) They travel together during the Shaman Tournament, but never talked. So why do I like RenxTamao? No, it's not because they just look cute together. (Although, I have to admit they do ^.^) There are several reasonable reasons as to why they should be a couple. Below is a list of reasons that I came up with:

  • Opposites attract. I like how their personalities clash, but still share some common grounds. If they get to know each other a little bit more, I believe something can happen between the two.
  • Ren can toughen Tamao up and Tamao can soften Ren up. See, it's perfect! ;]
  • They've been together for a long time, so they probably acknowledge each other.
  • Ren is most likely to fall for a girl like Tamao. Think about it, she's shy and different from the other girls of SK. I say her personalities are like Jun in some ways. They're both sweet and nicest among the group. And we all know how Ren feels towards his sister. :]
  • They're both alone, so why not? They can always depend on each other for support.
  • Ren wouldn't be annoyed by Tamao. She's not the annoying/bossy type who would cling onto him all the time or tell him what to do.
  • Tamao would be someone Ren would want to protect.
  • Tamao is pretty close to Jun (Ren's sister). She might become the matchmaker for the two. Hey, I can see it happening. :]
  • Ren says in the Mankin fanbook that his type of girl is “always out of the way and never a bother,” which practically screams Tamao. He also mentions that he likes “smaller girls,” and Tamao is indeed small. [ragnaroktactics]
  • To sum it all up, I say RenxTamao is a pretty reasonable couple if you just think about it. And I mean, really think about it!
